Relaxed, food-focused foraging experiences. These are for you if you want a memorable day out with wild food, not a hardcore skills course.

Forage & Picnic

3 to 4 hours – £70

Description:

A gentle wander through fields, hedgerows and woodland, meeting the wild plants of the season. We finish with a shared picnic built around what we have found, plus a few prepared wild treats.

Who is it for?

Couples, friends and families who want a relaxed day outdoors with good food and a bit of learning on the side.

Forage & Cook 1/2 day

3 to 4 hours – £66

Description:

A focused session where we gather a small selection of wild ingredients, then turn them into a simple meal cooked together outdoors. Less walking, more chopping, stirring and tasting.

Who it is for:

Food lovers who want to understand and actually cook with wild ingredients, not just look at them.

Fungi Foray

3 hours – £50

Description:

An autumnal walk dedicated to the world of wild fungi. We focus on safety, key edible species, and the dangerous lookalikes you must avoid. We’ll look at the key identifying features for recognising species.

Who it is for:

Curious mushroom hunters who want a fun but safety-first introduction to the weird world of fungi.

Key Points:

  • Learn basic mushroom ID principles
  • Meet key edible and poisonous species for the season
  • Understand why ‘if in doubt, leave it out’ really matters

Wild Cocktails & Hedgerow Drinks

3 hours – £90

Description:

An evening or late afternoon session where we gather a few key ingredients, then make wild infusions, syrups and drinks together. Options for both cocktails and alcohol-free drinks.

Who it is for?

People who like the idea of wild drinks and want to go beyond elderflower cordial.

Key Points:

  • Learn 2–3 base techniques for wild drinks
  • Make at least one drink you can recreate at home
  • Clear guidance on safe, legal use of wild ingredients in drinks

Learn – Skills & Courses

These are structured, safety-first sessions and courses for people who want real competence, not just a pleasant wander. If you want to be able to identify, harvest and use wild food with confidence, start here.

Beginner Forager Taster

2 hours – £25

Description:

A short, focused introduction to safe, ethical foraging. We cover a few common plants, the basic safety rules, and how to start foraging without scaring yourself.

Who is it for?

If you are curious about foraging but not ready for a full day, this is your first step.

Key Points:

  • Meet 5 to 10 common, easy wild edibles for the current season
  • Understand the basic legal and safety rules
  • Decide whether a longer skills day is right for you

Beginner Forager Skills Day

5 hours – £100

Description:

A full day building solid foundations. We cover plant ID, law, ethics, harvesting, and simple ways to use wild food at home. Includes a basic cook-up so you leave having actually eaten what you have learned.

Who it is for:

Beginners and self-taught foragers who want to replace guesswork and YouTube snippets with a clear, repeatable approach.

Key Points:

  • Confidently identify 8–10 staple wild edibles in season
  • Understand the UK foraging law and how to stay on the right side of it
  • Learn the basics of the process for identifying new plants
  • Prepare and eat at least one wild meal together

Resilient Forager – 1 Day Skills Intensive

6 hours – £130

Description:

A demanding, practical day for people who want to build real food resilience from the landscape. We go beyond ‘nice to know’ and into ‘I can actually feed myself and my family from this place in this season’.

Who it is for:

People who have already done an intro day or a lot of self-study and want serious, safety-first skills. Ideal for preppers, bushcrafters and anyone who wants to feel less dependent on the supermarket.

Key Points:

  • Identify 12–15 core edible species for the current season
  • Map out a simple ‘wild food plan’ for your local area
  • Understand the main deadly lookalikes and how to avoid them
  • Cook a full wild-focused meal together outdoors

Beginners Online Course
