Forage & Feast Picnic

Join us for a unique 4-hour wild food adventure that blends hands-on foraging with a delicious, locally-inspired picnic—all led by a seasoned forager with over 30 years’ experience. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned foodie, you’ll leave with new skills, full bellies, and a deeper connection to the land.
What to Expect:
  • Guided Foraging Walk: Spend 2–2.5 hours exploring the countryside, learning to safely identify and harvest a variety of wild plants, herbs, and fungi (we typically encounter 10–20 species, depending on the season).
  • Tasting & Demonstration: Sample pre-prepared wild treats and drinks along the way. We’ll discuss uses, flavours, and any necessary prep for safe eating.
  • The Picnic: After our walk, we’ll settle down for a generous picnic featuring a spread of foraged and wild-inspired dishes, think pestos, wild salads, seasonal bakes, and more. Where possible, we’ll incorporate ingredients gathered by the group for a truly “field to fork” experience.
  • Q&A & Recap: Ask anything about wild food, foraging law, sustainability, or cooking. After the event, you’ll receive a summary email listing the species covered (so you can build on what you learned).
Who’s It For?
  • All ages and backgrounds welcome (under-16s with a responsible adult; see FAQs for suitability).
  • No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a moderate ability to walk 2–3km on easy terrain.
